Salman Khan Marks 60th Birthday with Intimate Midnight Celebration at Panvel Farmhouse
Bollywood icon Salman Khan celebrated his 60th birthday with an intimate midnight gathering at his Panvel farmhouse in Mumbai, joined by family, close friends and paparazzi. Videos from the private celebration surfaced online as the actor looks ahead to new films and a biography release.
Opting for a low-key gathering rather than a grand public event, the actor celebrated the milestone on Saturday night at his farmhouse, where visuals from the occasion soon began circulating widely on social media. Videos showed Salman cutting a red-and-white birthday cake shortly after midnight, dressed casually in a black T-shirt and blue jeans, sporting a clean-shaven look that reflected the relaxed tone of the evening.
In several clips, the actor was seen interacting cheerfully with photographers, a gesture that underscored his long-standing rapport with the media. The celebration grew more personal as his parents, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan, joined him for the cake-cutting ceremony, adding an emotional note to the intimate gathering.
Salman Khan’s journey in Indian cinema spans more than three decades. After making his screen debut in the late 1980s, he rose swiftly to stardom with Maine Pyar Kiya, a film that established him as a leading man. Since then, he has delivered a remarkable run of commercially successful films across genres, including Hum Aapke Hain Koun!, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Kick, Dabangg and Wanted, cementing his position as one of Bollywood’s most bankable and enduring stars.
Looking ahead, Salman is set to headline Battle of Galwan, a film inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese forces. The project will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for Shootout at Lokhandwala, and marks another significant addition to the actor’s expansive filmography.
The milestone year will also see the release of a new book chronicling Salman Khan’s cinematic journey. Titled Salman Khan: The Sultan of Bollywood, the book is authored by Mohar Basu and published by HarperCollins India, with a release scheduled for 27 December. The volume offers an in-depth exploration of his films, fandom and mass appeal, bringing together fan interviews, rare photographs by late veteran photographer Pradeep Bandekar, and insights from long-time collaborators.
As Salman Khan enters his sixth decade, the understated birthday celebration reflected both his superstar stature and his enduring connection with audiences, media and family—an emblem of a career that continues to shape popular culture and command attention across generations.
